O Mahdi, bear witness as God bore witness to Himself before the creation of the heavens and the earth, that there is no god but He, and that this youth is His servant and His glory. This is the news that has been written from eternity on the Tablets of Grandeur - no one knows it except for the Almighty Himself. He will only reveal it to whomever He pleases.

Heed my advice, and don't let anything deter or prevent you. Strive within yourself and try to be among the righteous in this matter, which will frighten the people of knowledge and dishearten those who possess certainty. Cleanse your vision and your hands, then purify yourself from everything in the heavens and the earth so that you may stand firm on God's command that has been revealed to you.

Separate yourself from your own desires and from everything other than God, as well as from the desires of the unbelievers. Look back to the beginning and see how God created Adam, and then passed on His knowledge and wisdom to each new generation until it reached Ali, who was noble and chosen. All of these people came bearing a message from God in the form of a scroll, a book, or a Tablet, and they were each given the knowledge and wisdom that had been ordained for them from God.

All of them conveyed the messages of their Lord, and brought the people glad tidings of God's satisfaction and reward. They guided people from darkness to light, and they assured them of meeting their Lord, just as you have read in the scriptures of the earlier prophets. This continued until the time came when God hid Himself behind a veil, so that no one would know Him except for the one on whom divine verses were revealed.

Then, after the period of divine concealment, when a thousand veils of light were removed from behind, a ray of light shone forth from the face of the youth, which was smaller than the diameter of a needle. This caused the people of the exalted realms to be struck with awe and to prostrate themselves in submission. This is what manifested the power of God's creation and what caused Him to stand by Himself, between the heavens and the earth, without the need of anyone else.

He called out to His servants at the top of His voice, without fear of anyone, just as you witnessed. And He underwent trials and tribulations among the people so that the tyrants and oppressors of the earth could gather together against him, as you witnessed. He did not seek help from anyone except God - the Mighty, the Powerful, the Knowing - and truly, God helped and supported him and bestowed tranquility upon him. He aided him with invisible legions, allowing the divine Cause to triumph and its proof to become manifest, establishing it on earth and gathering its believers together.

All praise be to God, who has enabled us to complete the message. Had it not been for Him, we would not have recalled the blessings of His faithful servants who lived in your land and who sent forth the sweet scents of holiness from the breath of their Lord.

Know that God is aware of your secrets and whispered prayers, and treasures the love in your hearts. He is informed of everything that happens, and nothing escapes His knowledge. He is the master and sustainer of all things.
