So know, O Salman, that we bear witness in the position of the Oneness of Essence, that He is one in His essence, and has always been established on the throne of oneness, and the seat of singularity, and nothing was with Him, and no one will be mentioned in His presence. He is the Everlasting, the Self-Sufficient, the Mighty, the Generous. He has always been in His Self-Sufficiency, and there was no mention of anything with Him, nor recognition of Self, nor the unification of anyone except to be as it was in the eternal eternity. There is no god but He, the Mighty, the Wise. The knowledge of the Gnostics and the attainment of the eloquent ones have been cut off from this position because everything is nonexistent in His presence, lost to Him, and existent by His command, There is no god but He. To Him belongs the command and creation, and indeed He is well-acquainted with everything. He is Allah, there is no god but He, who did not take a guardian or a helper or a partner or a likeness or a minister for Himself, there is no god but He, the Mighty, the Able, the Encompassing.
