We see you rejoicing in what you have gathered for others and depriving yourselves of the worlds which only My Preserved Tablet has enumerated.

Wealth has distracted you from the End (ma'al). This should not be, if you only knew.

Cleanse your hearts of the odour (i.e. treasures) of the world (dhafar al- dunya) and hasten to the kingdom of your Lord, Maker of earth and heaven. He it is by whom the earthquakes appeared and the tribes lamented, except the one that turned away from men and held on to what was ordered in the Hidden Tablet.
