The song of the nightingale, singing upon the branch of friendship, reached the ears of friends; thus it was commanded that this servant should open his lips in reply to some of the questions and make manifest whatever secrets may be set down in writing. In that pleasing letter it had been written: which of the founders of religions has superiority over another? Here the One God says: “We make no distinction among the prophets,” since the will of all is one and the secret of all is the same; division and superiority among them are not permitted. The truthful prophet called himself by the name of a former prophet; therefore, when someone does not grasp this saying inwardly and turns to unseemly words, no error will appear to the knowing and discerning from his speech.
