And an attraction that may ignite all; say: O my God, my Beloved, my Mover, my Attractor, and the Caller in my heart, and the Beloved of my secret; to Thee be praise for having made me turned toward Thy face and inflamed with Thy remembrance and calling by Thy name and speaking with Thy praise. O Lord, O Lord, if heedlessness did not appear, how wouldst Thou have set up the banners of Thy mercy and raised the standards of Thy bounty? And if sins were not made known, how would it be known that Thou art the Concealer, the Forgiving, the All-Knowing, the All-Wise? My soul be a ransom for the heedlessness of Thy heedless ones.
