By God, the world and its adornment and whatever bounties are in it are, with God, nothing but a handful of dust—rather even more contemptible—if people were, within themselves, discerning. Purify yourselves, O people of Bahá, from the world and all that is in it. By God, it is not fitting for you. Leave it to its people and turn toward a radiant, holy Countenance. What befits you is the love of God and His Manifestation, and your following whatever appears from Him, if you are of those who know. Say: Adorn your souls with truthfulness and courtesy, and do not deprive yourselves.
