O company of princes: since you have become a cloud before the face of the sun and have prevented it from shining, listen to what the Most Exalted Pen counsels you with, that thereby your souls may find rest, and then the poor and the needy. We ask God to confirm the kings in peace; verily He is powerful over what He wills. O company of kings: We see you every year increasing your expenditures and placing them upon the subjects; this is naught but grievous injustice. Fear the sighs and tears of the oppressed, and do not lay burdens upon the subjects.
