You are the adornment of the earth, so do not rely on it. Rather, rely on the remembrance of God, the Most High, the Most Great, for God will cause to perish what you possess. Fear God and do not forget God’s covenant within yourselves, and do not be among those who are veiled. Beware lest you grow arrogant toward God and His loved ones; instead, lower your wing to the believers who believe in God and His signs, whose hearts bear witness to His oneness and whose tongues attest to His uniqueness, and who do not speak except by His leave. Thus do We counsel you to justice and remind you of the truth, that you may be among those who take heed. Do not impose upon people what you do not impose upon yourselves, and do not approve for anyone what you would not approve for yourselves.
