O you who are unaware, lift your heads from the sleep of heedlessness and behold its lights that have encompassed the world. Some say, “It shone forth too soon”—O you without sight—whether near or far, it has now shone forth; you may observe. In truth, has this shining been realized or not? As for its nearness and farness, that was not and will not be in your hands or in the hands of this servant. The divine wisdom, which is hidden from the eyes of creation, has required it. O people, be content with what God has been pleased to allot for you and has decreed for you; for by God, if the matter were in my hands, I would never have revealed myself at all.
