O my Lord, praise be to You for the wonders of Your decree and the encompassing fullness of Your bounties. Once You entrusted me into the hands of Nimrod, then into the hands of Pharaoh, and there came upon me what You have numbered in Your knowledge and encompassed by Your will. And once You entrusted me to the prison of the polytheists because I related to the people of blindness a single letter of the dream which You inspired in me by Your knowledge and made known to me by Your sovereign power. And once my head was cut off by the hands of the unbelievers, and once I was raised upon the cross because I manifested in the dominion the jewels of the secrets of the glory of Your unique oneness and the wondrous signs of the sovereignty of Your everlasting self-sufficiency. And once You tried me in the land of al-Taff, such that I was alone among Your servants and unique in Your kingdom, until they cut off my head, then raised it upon a spear and carried it around through all the lands, and presented it upon the seats of the polytheists and the places of the deniers.
