The purpose of creation has been, and will be, the knowledge of the True One and the meeting with Him, as in all the divine Books and the firm heavenly Scrolls this sweetest theme and supreme purpose is mentioned and made clear without veil. And whoever attains unto that morn of guidance and dawn of oneness attains unto the station of nearness and reunion, which is the essence of Paradise and the highest of heavens, and enters the station of “two bows’ length,” which is beyond the Lote-Tree of the Utmost Boundary; otherwise he dwells, and will dwell, in the abodes afar off, which are the essence of fire and the reality of negation, even though outwardly he may be seated upon lofty thrones and exalted couches.
