God has ordained marriage (al-nikah) for you. Beware lest you go beyond two (wives), and whoever is satisfied with one of the hand-maidens, his soul is at rest and so is hers, and one does no harm in taking a virgin into his service. [note 3] So is the matter prescribed in truth by the Pen of Revelation.
